Established in 2017 in Rotherham, Personal Assist South Yorkshire, is now expanding to Barnsley, Sheffield and Doncaster. Personal Assist South Yorkshire provides quality care and support to people living with physical and learning disabilities, neurodiversity and mental health challenges.
We work with individuals who wish to be independent and want a team of exceptional and passionate support workers who give them control to live their life, the way they want.

Meet your Operations Manager.
Having worked in the care sector for over 20 years, Helen has grown a passion for this craft. She strongly believes in good quality person-centred care and by what we do can have a huge impact on individuals. Helen created her own care business in the Yorkshire regions and delivered an outstanding quality service, a service of which she is extremely proud, Helen then went on to start up further care companies for different people from scratch. Again, calling upon her knowledge and experience. She firmly believes in writing her own bespoke policies and procedures as this encourages well-led practices. During Helen's care career she has helped develop a training suite that promotes high quality teaching for high quality care workers, who in turn deliver high quality care.
It is with this wealth of experience and passion that Helen has brought to Personal Assist South Yorkshire. Personal Assist puts quality practice at the heart of its business model. Helen also brings her extensive knowledge of Mental Health and is most proud of her mental health charity that helps numerous people within our regions.
Helen has degrees in English and Theology and has also studied Ergonomics.
Meet our Care Director
Jackie started her career in the care industry, as a Personal Assistant supporting adults with daily activities, home life and accessing the community in Rotherham. In 2017, Personal Assist was born, with the aim to recruit other caring individuals who were passionate about providing person centered care and making a difference. Jackie's goal has always been ensuring individuals have their voice heard and that everyone is treat with dignity and respect. She is also a firm believer in recognizing and respecting those that work within the care industry and the dedicated work they do. Jackie holds her Level 5 management qualification and was the CQC registered manager for 7 years for Personal Assist.

Onwards and upwards in 2025
January is typically a time of year that a lot of people struggle with. The Christmas festivities are over, its cold and the darker nights seem to be never ending. With this is mind, we have decided to use January 2025, to promote our new Mental Health Team.
Our experienced Mental Health Team consists of care assistants trained to provide support and care to individuals in their own homes. They can play a critical role in supporting those with mental health issues in the local Rotherham area through a range of services designed to promote recovery, stability and wellbeing. These home care services typically focus on providing practical, emotional and clinical care and support to people experiencing mental health difficulties. Did you know that this is the only team in the Rotherham area that work with people with disabilities that also live with mental health issues?
